Starting a new business

Hello, world. For the first time, I am trying to make myself obvious on the internet. It’s not something that comes naturally to me, being a relatively private person, but it is one of those things that has to be done in order to be in business.

In Tallahassee, my work was through word of mouth and the other harpists I knew in the region. After moving to Cornelia, GA this spring, I have had to start from scratch without knowing anyone. I have been spending a lot of time working up my wedding repertoire and taking care of my baby girl. Well, taking care of my baby girl and working on wedding repertoire in the moments I have between diaper changes and feedings.

In the last month, I have felt ready to move forward and have stepped up my efforts to make my presence known. I have been contacting wedding planners, bridal shops and wedding venues from Alto to Delonega, GA. There are so many beautiful places here! On a break from being mommy, I just drove out to the Cleveland, GA area and spoke to some of the wineries there. Such lovely vineyards and vistas. My personal favorite was the Frogtown Winery (http://frogtown.us/).
